Academy13 was created in 2020 with an objective of providing basketball programs for all levels and ages and to build character and shape lives through basketball.

Here at the academy, we are resolute in dedicating our time and resources to the technical, physical and psychological progress of our players; while instilling the values of hard work, teamwork, self-discipline, respect and sportsmanship.

Ultimately striving to develop a self-motivated, fundamentally sound, high basketball IQ player whose core values will allow them to create a positive impact in their community as well as empower impact in their community as well as on and off court.

WHY 13?

Baseless as it may be, the number 13 is synonymous with bad luck. Triskaidekaphobia is not uncommon in the sporting world, having many athletes shy away from the number, fearing it to be a harbinger of bad luck. But here at Academy13, we want to mentor and develop players who will actively embrace the number 13, carrying it into battle, like a badge of honour, waving a red rag at the raging bull that is fate. We believe in hard work, not luck.
